In two individual events (September 13 - 15, 2022 online and September 27 - 28, 2022 in Denkendorf), the ESMA Academy in cooperation with the German Institutes of Textile and Fiber Research Denkendorf (DITF) will host a workshop that comprehensively covers the most important aspects of digital textile printing.

The contents of the workshop are aimed at participants who want to delve deeper into the subject of digital textile printing. Textile printers, textile manufacturers, suppliers and developers, chemists, but also all those who are facing the change to digitalized production processes are addressed. The workshop will provide comprehensive information on the scientific background and practical applications of digital printing in the textile industry.

The topics covered are 'digital printing processes, textile chemistry, pretreatment, ink formulation, curing processes, color management, print quality and characterization of textile substrates'. The focus will be on the technical requirements that need to be mastered in order to successfully establish and optimize a digital printing process within a production. Both events will be led by experienced scientists, academics and industry experts.

The continuing education format in cooperation with two educational partners took place in this form for the first time last year and is now being continued due to the high popularity of the participants. The entire workshop will take place in two blocks: Within an online seminar (September 13 - 15, 2022), the theoretical basics will be taught. In the practical block (September 27 - 28, 2022), which will take place in the laboratories of DITF Denkendorf, the entire printing process will be presented, from ink formulation to printing and post-treatment. The formation of small working groups makes it possible to address participants' questions and refer to their specific applications.

Registration is now possible via the ESMA Academy website https://esma.com/academy-tex/.

The educational partners:

ESMA Academy is the educational body of ESMA (in Tielt-Binge, Belgium), which has served as a knowledge-based network for industrial printing throughout Europe since 1990. ESMA sees itself as a promoter in the establishment of special printing processes in industry.

As Europe's largest textile research institution with a tradition of more than 100 years, the DITF Denkendorf stands as a pioneer for digital future technologies in the textile industry. Ever since the establishment of digital printing within the textile industry, DITF researchers have been accompanying new production processes with their many years of expert knowledge.
